  <title>ローカルプリンターをセットアップする</title>

  <p>プリンターの多くは、コンピューターに接続すると自動的に認識されます。たいていの場合、USB ケーブルでプリンターとコンピューターを接続します。</p>

  <note style="tip">
    <p>現在では、ネットワークプリンターとローカルプリンターのどちらをインストールするのかを選択する必要はありません。すべて一つのウィンドウに表示されます。</p>

      <p>プリンターの電源が入っていることを確認します。</p>

      <p>適したケーブルを使ってプリンターをシステムに接続します。システムによるドライバーの検索状況が画面に表示され、インストールの認証が求められます。</p>

      <p>プリンターのインストールが完了するとメッセージが表示されます。<gui>テストページの印刷</gui>を選択してテストページを印刷するか、<gui>オプション</gui>を選択して詳細な設定を行います。</p>

  <p>If your printer was not set up automatically, you can add it in the
  printer settings:</p>

      start typing <gui>Printers</gui>.</p>

      <p><gui>プリンター</gui>を選択します。</p>

      <p>右上にある<gui>ロック解除</gui>ボタンをクリックして、パスワードを入力します。</p>

      <p>ポップアップウィンドウで新しいプリンターを選択します。<gui>追加</gui>をクリックします。</p>

  <p>If your printer does not appear in the Add a New Printer window, you may
  need to install print drivers.</p>

  <p>プリンターをインストールしたら、<link xref="printing-setup-default-printer">デフォルトプリンターの変更</link>を行うとよいでしょう。</p>
